If an illness, accident, or other covered unforeseen circumstance forces you to cancel or interrupt your travel plans, you face two potential financial losses — money invested in nonrefundable pre-payments and medical expenses that may not be covered by your health insurance. Travel insurance helps protect you from those losses by offering coverage for a wide range of circumstances.
Vacations Hawaii offers two different protection plans. Our Silver Travel Protection Plan offers coverage for events that lead to the interruption or cancellation of your trip, while the Gold Medical Protection plan augments this coverage with supplemental health insurance. Premiums for both plans are available at attractive low rates and do not vary by age. (See below for additional details on each plan, including conditions and exclusions.)
Coverage must be purchased by the time your final trip payment is due. Coverage is only valid when the premium is paid.
Silver Travel Protection Plan – Charter Flights (HI Residents Only) - $45.00
The Silver Travel Protection Plan covers your trip costs in the event of cancellation, interruption and/or travel delay. It also provides coverage if your baggage is lost, damaged or delayed. The Silver Travel Protection Plan is an exceptional value, and includes:
- Trip Cancellation and Interruption
- Trip Delay Coverage ($100 maximum per day, up to $300)
- Baggage and Personal Effects Loss ($500 maximum)
- Baggage Delay Coverage ($100 maximum)
- Complementary hotel room for seven (7) days if you or your Traveling Companion is hospitalized during your trip
Silver Travel Protection Plan – Non-Charter Flights - $45.00
The Silver Travel Protection Plan covers your trip costs in the event of cancellation, interruption and/or travel delay. It also provides coverage if your baggage is lost, damaged or delayed. The Silver Travel Protection Plan is an exceptional value, and includes:

Gold Medical Protection Plan- $8.00
The Gold Medical Protection Plan is an optional supplement to our Silver Travel Protection plans that provides medical coverage in the event you become ill during your trip. This plan is available for a modest additional cost, and includes:
- Medical Expenses ($25,000 maximum)
- Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation of Remains (up to $100,000)
- Travel Medical Assistance
- Worldwide Travel Assistance
- LiveTravel Emergency Assistance
